SALARIED GP

(6 to 8 sessions)

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a 6 to 8 session Salaried GP.  The successful applicant will join our existing team, working in a thriving medical practice in the city centre of Inverness. We are looking for a flexible, dedicated GP who will work alongside our partners, other salaried GPs, and supportive team to deliver first-class primary care, and contribute to the future development of the Practice. The post will be salaried in the first instance but there is the potential to move to Partnership in the longer term if desired, with mutual agreement.

We are a successful Highland practice delivering high quality patient care in an urban setting.  We feel privileged to be located in a bustling city in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, occupying two adjacent buildings in the town centre. The practice team has good working relationships with the many different specialities who work from our buildings.

Your clinical role at Crown Medical Practice includes a mixture of face to face and telephone appointments and sessions as home visit doctor where you are well supported by the wider team. We are paper light using Vision and Docman and we also benefit from having Raigmore Hospital including A&E services located nearby.  We hold weekly practice meetings to optimise our multidisciplinary approach and team working.

The finer detail:

• 6000 registered patients
• 3 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 1 Practice Manager, 10 Practice Administrators, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 ANP, 2 Health Care Assistants
• Training practice commitments include GPST3, GPST1, ScotGEM and Medical Students. There are opportunities to become involved in education and teaching.
• The practice uses Vision and Docman
• Preferred start date 1^st of July 2022, but we are very willing to wait for the right candidate

Centrally based, the practice is only a 5-10 minute walk from the town centre and train station and less than a twenty minute drive from the airport. Active travel is encouraged and the practice has an ebike, bike shelter, shower facilities and has been awarded the cycle friendly employer award.

There is no out-of-hours commitment, however sessions are available locally if desired.
