If you had your vaccine on this date and haven’t heard from us by the middle of next week please contact the practice to enquire.
UPDATED 29 MARCH 2021
All patients over 50 years, and those under 65 who are deemed by the government criteria to be clinically vulnerable, have now been contacted either by text or letter.
Those in the older age groups who are due their second dose of the vaccine have also been contacted.
If you have been contacted, please contact the practice as soon as possible to make an appointment for your vaccine.
UPDATED 24 MARCH 2021
Please do not telephone the practice regarding Covid vaccinations, unless you have received an invitation from us to book an appointment. Please be patient; what you hear on the news or read on national websites does not reflect the situation locally.
The current groups of patients we are contacting to be vaccinated with their first Covid dose of vaccine includes the under 65s “at risk” group who have not already had their first dose. We are currently sending out invitations as vaccine supplies become available
Those who are deemed to be at risk is not decided by the practice, it is a national formula designed to highlight all those at risk from increased danger if they should catch the Covid virus. It is not the same as the criteria used for flu vaccinations. For example, asthma is not a reason to be prioritised for vaccination unless there are specific concerns such as hospital admissions for asthma complications.
To qualify as a “carer”, patients either have to be in receipt of carer’s allowance, or be the sole carer for somebody who would be adversely affected should the carer fall ill.
We are also contacting all patients aged 60-64, and all aged 55-59 for first doses; all of these groups should have received a text or letter asking them to phone for an appointment by 1st April 2021.
With patients’ needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.
We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarising yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription. Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function. Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.
