We have had patient’s calling asking for treatment whilst they are not in the area and we are unable to safely provide care for them. The doctor may require a face-to-face examination to offer treatment and this can’t be done safely when you are out with the area. Please also consider whether you could visit a local pharmacy to receive treatment for certain ailments.
Patients should also be aware that we do not send prescriptions to pharmacies which are out with the local area. If you require medication whilst out of area you will need contact a pharmacy local to where you are to see if they could prescribe and dispense what you require, and if this is not possible you will need to register with a local GP practice to obtain prescriptions. It could be that the local GP practice requests a summary of your care to be sent to them, which we will easily provide upon request.
